We recommend you wipe down the inside of your pump enclosure with a damp cloth after every use. Please make sure it is fully dry before use.
Getting Started
Please make sure your enclosure has been wiped clean with a damp cloth. Please also make sure it is fully dry before using it.
Push down before turning the posts. It's just like opening a bottle of medicine!
- Confirm that your posts are set correctly. When looking at the pump so that the screen is directly in front of you, ensure that the posts are both set to green if double pumping. If you're single pumping, make sure that only the post on the side that you're actively pumping into is green. The other side should be red. To turn the posts, push down first (like you'd do to open a medicine bottle).
- Ensure that the outer shield is well connected to the silicone inner part of the breast shield.
- Press down firmly on the bottle connector.
- Press down firmly on the breast shield connector.
Please remember that suction can take 30-60 seconds to build.

We recommend using the ice pack. Our ice pack was built to hug our bottles to keep them as cold as possible, but if you want to try another ice pack, go for it.
Our custom bra pad has a built-in space to accommodate the breast shield. This provides a smooth line and the ultimate in discretion. Please see our Quickstart Guide or User Manual for more information on how to put them on.
No, you can use your pump with or without The App. It works either way, although you do have access to more features if you use The App.
The App is one of our favorite parts! In addition to controlling speed and suction, you can see in real-time how much milk you've expressed. You can also track breastfeeding and bottle feeding (both breast milk and formula). There's also customizable modes, inventory tracking and so much more. The App connects to The Pump via bluetooth, and it walks you through how to pair your pump on the main screen.
The tubes connect to the breast shields and bottles via the breast shield connectors and bottle connectors. The tubes allow us to generate our proprietary vacuum-boost technology™ that creates effective suction that feels like a baby nursing at the breast. Milk flows into the breast shields, through the tubes, and into the bottles.
The tubes are disposable and need to be replaced every 24 hours for safety reasons. Any attempt to wash the tubes could also ruin The Pump and will void your warranty. We’re partnering with industry-leading TerraCycle™ to develop a recycling program for the tubes. More information will be forthcoming soon.
We offer an optional subscription program for our tubes to ensure you always have a set ready when you need them.
For safety purposes, each person will need their own pumping kits (breast shields, tubes and posts).
